This exclusive lodge is situated in an idyllic setting on a mountainside overlooking the perennial Selons river close to the town of Koster in the North West Province of South Africa. The Lodge sleeps up to 10 people. There are three luxury thatched stone built chalets, each sleeping two people and a fourth chalet which accommodates four. There is a restaurant, Lounge and bar that offers superb, four star cuisines with friendly and attentive staff that cater for your every need. One should not forget to mention the beautiful enticing crystal clear swimming pool that will be irresistible on a hot bushveld day.
The reserve consists of 3700ha of indigenous pristine bush veld with eighteen dams that provide habitat for more than 16 Hippo. This well stocked reserve is home to many other species of mammal including Sable Antelope, Eland, Kudu, Nyala Buffalo and Giraffe. Out of the ‘Big 5’ only Lion and Elephant are missing.
Enjoy a game drive, photographic or walking safari in the reserve. There are more than 240 recorded bird species in the reserve so it’s important to carry a pair of binoculars and a good bird book with you when you venture out from the lodge.
In the evening, take some time to peer upwards and look at the amazing myriad of stars that gaze down on you from above and also listen to the true African sound of the bush.
The reserve, as mentioned above, is situated close to the town of Koster which is, under normal driving conditions, less than two hours from Gauteng.
